Let me start this unsolicited advice on a very serious and harsh note to you, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa by telling you to be extremely careful in these slippery times of Emperor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose wish must be obeyed (not unlike Ayesha’s, of the ancient times) in Nigeria, or else you will be arrested like other NOTABLE people before you.
Before I continue with my advice to you, permit me to congratulate you for dumping the anti-majority-of-the-citizens party, the APC, and welcome you into the fold of people who LOVE and RESPECT the people and their wish. Dumping the party (APC) is obviously the BEST political and social decision you have EVER made in your life.
Politically, you have shown that your sympathy is with the majority of the Nigerian citizens, who had never had it so TERRIBLE as they are going through NOW. Socially, you now obey one of the commandments of God, the Creator, who has commanded his servants to be just not only to those you want, but to ALL. But the Tinubu regime is only just to an insignificant number of the citizens of the country. Even them are those who have served him as his ‘boys’ for years.
That done, you may well prepare yourself for the Professor Usman Yusuf, treatment. A world famous medical doctor, who schooled, taught and practiced in the United States before relocating to Nigeria, Professor Yusuf was arrested for opposing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the political party of the Emperor.
So was Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. Apart from being a serving federal lawmaker in the first chamber, Tambuwal was a one time Speaker of the House of Representatives, a former Governor of Sokoto State, who was still ‘invited’ for ‘questioning to explain some things’ he apparently left unexplained. But the REAL reason he was taken in by the anti graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was his dumping the APC for a POPULAR political party in the country.
He was arrested by the organisation whose Chairman, Pastor who not very long ago, disclosed that some ministers had collectively given him the sum of N500 million (N500M) to assist him to burry his dead mother. He claimed to have refused the money. But he did not (apparently forgot) invite them for questioning to explain how they plan to recoup their ‘investment’.
Although I am not into partisan politics to offer a worthwhile advice, I will still advise you not join a SEA if you plan to be a big fish. Be in a pond, where you will be a big fish, and become among those who will determine how things will be done, as the saying goes, or something to that effect.
It is therefore, advisable that you pitch your tent with like-minded politicians, who are seeking to lead the country, not to AMASS money (mostly from the Commonwealth), or be VINDICTIVE as are the practice under the regime of the Emperor, but to the next level of development, and beyond.
In doing all that, you should always look over your shoulder, because you are NOT UNLIKELY to make other enemies, other than the known ones. The decision to be with those who genuinely want to serve the interest of the Nigerian citizens will definitely not go down well (liked) by some people and countries.
They will therefore, subject you to EVERY EVIL thing in their repertoire to make sure that you do not succeed. But most of the Nigerian citizens are with you, so do not retrace your steps, and do an about turn no matter the pressure, please.
May God give us the courage and determination to say a categorical NO to, and fight, injustice whoever practices it.
